I can’t believe I haven’t completed a WIAW post since June 13th - I mean seriously, who am I!? I’ve been missing out on the fun for too long my friends, too long!
Seeing as though today is August 1st (yes, one more month until fall Jenn over at Peas and Crayons, the host of this fun weekly party all bloggers are invited too, has chosen the theme of Summer Staples for August.
I’m pretty excited about this and can’t wait to share some of these with you (thanks for the ideas Jenn).-share your summer survival guide and/or summer goals-
-tell us about your favorite summer workouts to beat the heat-
-sneak in a few recipes for your favorite summer salads, smoothies, etc-
-update us on your veggie gardening, farmers markets and csa boxes-
-give us a rundown of what’s in season now and how you plan on eating it!-
-come up with a fun summer playlist to amp up your run/workout-
-talk about your favorite summer eats + what fruits and veggies you can’t get enough of right now- Alright, now back to the food! Typical weekday office breakfast with a special added treat [overnight oats made with vanilla almond milk, chia seeds, oats, and banana with a side of Starbucks iced coffee] I munched on an apple and almonds somewhere in between here [snack]. Salad Beast for Lunch [romaine lettuce, spinach lettuce, edename beans, black beans, roma tomatoes, avocado, red peppers] Best raw, fresh and easy dinner I’ve had in a while [quinoa, avocado, red/orange/yellow peppers, black beans and mango salsa] After dinner treat – just the right amount of sweet before bed [greek yogurt, sugar-free strawberry jelly, sunflower seeds]
